Our Focus Areas

This section highlights PATF-HoCo’s efforts to evaluate and promote police accountability in Howard County. Here you will find our assessments of the Police Accountability Board (PAB) performance, reviews of public safety oversight efforts, candidate surveys and responses related to policing and accountability issues, and other initiatives focused on ensuring that law enforcement agencies and public officials remain responsive, transparent, and accountable to the community.

This section focuses on PATF-HoCo’s work to advance transparency in policing and public safety. It includes our analysis of racial demographic data obtained through MPIA requests, research and findings related to disparities in law enforcement engagement with the public, and advocacy efforts related to Body Worn Cameras (BWC), BWC policy reform, and public access to information needed to strengthen community oversight and trust.
